New School of Northern Virginia, "Break Out" (2007)
2007 Capital/Chesapeake Area Emmy Winner, Commercial - Single Spot. The school's principal/founder (who's also an artist) wanted his ad to stand out from the "average" school spot. His artwork filled his office walls, giving us a feel for his style; three of the pieces became the storyboards for the ad. All we had to do was recreate them in live-action, and come up with a script that sensibly linked the images while telling the school's story. My first Emmy!!
